Job Summary:

We are seeking an optometric assistant, which starts at the front desk with patient check-ins and counseling. An assistant participates in all aspects of the practice that involves the administration of patient care and efficient patient flow. This position requires primarily administrative duties which will allow for a better understanding of the entire practice operations. This is patient care from start to finish.

Working at Ocean Park Optometry is a great way to gain hands-on experience with patients in a busy private practice setting, and learn TONS about the field of optometry and patient management. Our previous technicians have gone into medicine, optometry, physical therapy, nursing, and more, with a great head start. No experience is required. If you are an intelligent, outgoing people person and eager to learn, we will provide all the training you need to help us provide great care to our patients.

For those who are a medical front desk professional, we are an ultra-modern facility with all of the latest instrumentation and automated software systems. We provide many specialty services that keep us on our toes and continuing to grow in our profession.

This full or part time position is available now. Our office hours are Tuesdays to Saturdays. We give preference to those already in their gap period who will not need scheduling changes due to school.

For full time employees, benefits are offered after three months of full-time employment. Profit-sharing plan is offered after one full calendar year of employment. The bonus program is eligible after three months.
